Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to commonly asked questions about our kids school below. If you have any additional inquiries, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our friendly staff for assistance. We are here to provide you with the information and support you need to make informed decisions about your child’s education and well-being.
When should I enroll my child for your programme?
Heguru Method is suitable for children from as young as 6 months old. Development of the right brain is best done before the age of 6. It is recommended that children start right brain training as early as possible.
Is my child too young to learn anything from the lessons?
All children start learning from the point of birth. They learn by interacting with their environment and the people around them. Our programme aims to stimulate their brain and input a large amount information and allow for more neuro connections in their developing brains.
How long must I wait to see the results of your training?
The time required for the effects of the training to show varies from child to child. We encourage parents to believe in their child’s ability and the
Heguru Method Programme. It is recommended that you put your child through at least 6 months of training.
Why is home practice necessary?
We encourage parents to do home practice as it helps to reinforce learning at home. It is also an important process for parent and child bonding. We encourage parents to be consistent in practising the activities that we have done in class at home. We recommend at least 10 – 15 minutes daily.
How long should each home practice session be?
Home practice sessions need not be too long and is most effective if integrated into their play time. The children will learn to associate these
home practices with play and be enthusiastic participants. A 10 – 15 minute practice every day will be sufficient to reinforce what they learnt in class. Most importantly is consistency to achieve better results.
How do I learn what to do for home practice?
Our teachers will have a parent teacher session at the end of every class to share what home practice activities can be done to reinforce the learning in class. We will also conduct a Parent Education Talk for an in depth explanations on how to assist your child in right brain training. All new Heguru Parents are encouraged to attend the talk.
My child is so young, how do I know that the learning is taking place?
Although infants may not be able to verbally demonstrate the effects of their learning, they can express it through other means via eye movements and facial expressions etc. Careful observations of these will confirm the results of our programme.
If my child misses a class, are there any make-up lessons?
There are no make-up lessons. Most of our classes are full and it is not fair to any class if we allow students from other classes to join in which may result in the class exceeding the maximum number. In the unlikely event that classes are cancelled by our school, a replacement lesson will be scheduled during the school breaks for your child.
What if my child is unable to attend most of the lessons in a month?
If, due to any circumstances, your child is unable to attend most of the lessons in a month, you can request to only pay for an absence fee of $80/- to miss the entire month instead of the full fees. We will reserve the slot in the class for your child to join back in the class for the next month for a maximum of 2 months.
Are there any trial lessons?
There are no trial lessons. Most of our classes are full and it is not fair to any class if we allow students from other classes to join in which may result in the class exceeding the maximum number. Also, right brain training is about the conditioning of the right brain and 1 lesson is not sufficient to determine whether the class is suitable. Young toddlers may also need an adjustment period to fully immerse into the programme.
We recommend for new parents to stay with the programme for at least 6 months for the results to be more apparent. This will also instill a sense of perseverance into children by showing them that they should always follow through with everything in life.
Why Heguru Method?
Heguru Method has a long track record in Japan with proven results over the years and currently we have schools in Malaysia, Australia, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, UAE, Myanmar, India and Kuwait.
All our classes are conducted by 2 teachers, with a high speed of executing the activities, numbering more than 50 per session of 50 minutes. With 2 teachers, the transition between activities is seamless and uninterrupted. Speed is critical in the activation of the right brain, and slowing down the delivery of the lesson will cause the child to automatically make use of the left brain to process the information. We emphasize on the quality of lessons being delivered in Heguru Method. All our main teachers are trained and certified in Japan before being allowed to lead the class. We also conduct regular training sessions for our teachers and their performance is being reviewed periodically by the Japan Headquarters.

What is Hado Reading?
The prerequisite of Hado reading is right brain activation. When a child starts to read, they will be reading books normally. With normal reading as a starting point, when the child’s right brain becomes increasingly activated, they will discover that they can gradually read faster. When their right brain activation reaches a certain level, they will be able to naturally channel the power of their hearts to make very complete imagery appear. This is the manner in which the Hado reading technique manifests.
Hado reading is not so much a goal in itself, but rather a tool for children to make use of. Using the activated brain’s power to read books at high speed paves the way to the next step of right brain activation, where children can create and employ images at their will. Often, they may find some difficulties in harnessing this ability fully until they reach about 7~8 years old. In order for them to be able to use this ability to its full potential when they are 7~8 years old, they should start practising when they are 2~3 years old. Then with continuous training, they may be able to achieve the Hado reading skill at the age of 7~8.
